ODAS set up its first programme control offices over 30 years ago. Today, their prime task is to ensure successful contract completion through close liaison between customers, administrations and contractors.

ODAS programme control offices :

monitor compliance with contractual commitments from signature to sign-off

manage working groups and programme reviews
ensure the consistent execution of all contracts for a given customer.

Close cooperation with the French Ministry of Defence
As part of their mission, ODAS programme control offices have direct access to the expertise of both the French armed forces and defence procurement agency DGA. They also liaise directly with DGA technical departments responsible for qualification, certification and quality assurance procedures. In the case of government-to-government contracts, the office manager works directly with the DGA-appointed programme controller.
Around half of the staff working at ODAS programme control offices come from the French armed forces and the DGA.

Contractors also benefit from advice and support provided by ODAS's in-country programme control offices.
